Does anyone using 10.7.x or less have this problem? Or is it limited to 10.8.x? http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

Someone got a workarround that bug? Or got why the bug is intermitent?
Thanks! Use OSX 10.7.x? As far as I can tell its a 10.8.x issue. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

Thanks for working on this. But this entire affair reminds me of a old joke.
A man goes to the doctor and hold up his arm. "Doctor it hurts whenever I do this". "Well then don't do that".
CCP to players "It is hard to fix bugs and takes a long time because we need to use cider to get eve to run on a Mac". 'Well then make eve run on a Mac without cider". http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

Has anyone with 10.8.x checked out Sisi to see if it got fixed?
I asked about this issue in the 1.1 thread that mentioned scanning improvements, and a Dev said it was a Cider issue. But no new information on a fix was forthcoming. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

I borrowed a computer with 10.8 on it and now get this bug. Its no fun. I did figure out how to scan without the blue spheres, but its a pain. It will be nice to get home and get my usual computer back...unless IT put 10.8 on it in my absence.
CCP: any word on the fix? http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

Hernandez Thermidor wrote:Try running a few anoms before trying to launch probes for the first time. I find doing 2 or 3 first means the probes will then show up. When I read this I thought it was totally silly.
But I tried it anyway. It worked.
I found you do not need to do the anoms, just visit them. Also docking and undocking, and jumping to not undo the effect of the visit to the anoms. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

Rykah wrote:Didn't work for me - though I only visited 2 anoms and was cloaked at the time...
I'll try without cloak perhaps - how long do you think I need to stay there? I did it without cloaking, in high sec. I stayed at each of the three anoms just long enough to warp to the next one. Also, it was the first thing I did upon logging in. I think launching probes before visiting three anoms will make this workaround fail.
Note I returned the travel computer with 10.8 on it to IT and am back on my regular computer with 10.7. Thus I can no longer test this bug. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

I burnt up my advanced booster training for invention and exploration now i can't explore to get the stuff i need?
Please figure this out. You can explore, its just a bit slower.
Select all the probes in the probe window and you can manually change their range
Hold down the modifier key that shows all the probes in space. Grab an outer one and move it. When you do concentric circles show up showing you the bubble edge, halfway to the edge, and so on. Move the probe to get the spacing you wish.
Its a pain, slow, but possible. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

You left out the most important part: The OS. It appears that 10.7.x is good, 10.8.x is bad, and 10.9.x is good. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

It would appear that as upgrading to 10.9 fixes it, and its a free upgrade, CCP and Transgaming can get away with never fixing this bug.
To bad that is not going to work with the freeze bug. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |
